OOPS in BOM July
There was some confusion of the blocks Joyce had chosen for July block of the month.
Here are the "real ones". Don't despair you can do both sets if you want or just hold off on either set.
We will end up doing all the blocks anyway so as my daughter says
"It's all good"

Block by Becky Brown
This block will end up lying on it's side if you make it full sized. You can put the block "on point" by making it smaller and sashing with triangles to stand it up-right. I will have cutting directions for 12, 9, 8, 7, 6 and 4 inch blocks you can then decide if you want to sash it upright!

Civil War Sampler Blocks of the Month 2
The board has chosen the book Civil War Sampler by Barbara Brackman as the 2015 blocks of the month source.
Thankfully the blocks are in the public domain because they are traditional blocks that have not been created by one person. Of course the methods laid out in the book are so we can't just copy pages from the book but will be able to give you patterns from other sources.
Barbara has posted these blocks on several of her blogs with directions and pictures too so check the links that will be offered on the regular New Friends Quilt Circle blog and here.
Enjoy the process and hopefully learn as you go!
